Mrs Hunt
It’s never too late to have the kitchen of your dreams, as Mrs Hunt found out with help from Mulberry Kitchen Design.
Based in East Kilbride, Mrs Hunt was tired of her old kitchen but was apprehensive about changing everything at this point in her life. However, she was very impressed by our work on her son’s kitchen, and so decided that she would take this opportunity to get the kitchen she had always wanted.
The first aspect of the new design was to lower the ceiling. The flat had a concrete ceiling which needed to be lowered so that spotlights could be installed. Then the team installed brand new LED spotlights and under lights. The entire kitchen was then fully plastered, and a new windowsill was installed.
A beautiful Milbourne Alabaster kitchen from the second nature range was chosen for Mrs Hunt’s perfect new kitchen, along with stunning Duropal worktops. Mrs Hunt was desperate to hide her boiler, and was delighted that we could provide a fully customisable design that ensured it could be hidden cleanly and neatly. Part of our customisable design was elevating the oven for Mrs Hunt while ensuring it was not too high for her to reach comfortably.
Mrs Hunt’s vision for her new kitchen was one in which everything matched and complemented each other. In order to make this happen, the Mulberry team provided a total of seven different paint samples to ensure that the wall paint in the kitchen matched Mrs Hunt’s toaster and kettle.
Beautiful new appliances were added to complete the customer’s new kitchen. A stunning Hotpoint integrated 50/50 fridge freezer was chosen as well as a Hotpoint integrated washing machine. A Hotpoint oven and microwave were also installed, as well as a 450 dishwasher and a gleaming Hotpoint 60cm ceramic hob.
Mrs Hunt also chose to have a Kesseboehmer Le Mans pull out and aKesseboehmer tall pull out larder installed to complete her kitchen vision.
As well as this, a Blanco Nova sink was installed in a warm sand colour, complete with Blanco Cleo taps. A sparkling glass splashback was chosen, and the entire room was brought together by the Pergo alpaca slate flooring.
Overall, Mrs Hunt was absolutely thrilled with the end result. In particular, she was very impressed by how clean we left her house as well as the flat’s communal area, and we even cleaned her windows to ensure that everything was left in perfect condition. We're nice like that, you see!
