Mr & Mrs Yardley Kitchen Transformation

Mr & Mrs Yardley moved in to their current home nine years ago and a new kitchen was on the ‘To-Do List’ ever since. The couple had been following our progress for a while but after we transformed their next-door neighbour’s kitchen – and they got to see Mulberry’s work in the flesh – they contacted us straight away.

Mrs Yardley had always dreamt of a light and airy kitchen after living with their dark and tired kitchen since moving in. She wanted a clean, minimalistic look using neutral tones. After deciding on a bright white and fresh grey colour scheme we moved on to picking the perfect paint. Grey paint swatches swathed the walls until we found the ideal hue. We wanted to steer clear of any blue tinges, which is quite common in grey paints. Once we had decided on the paint we paired it up with complimentary grey tiles to complete the look.

In order to open up the space further we raised the ceiling, plastered and removed the existing door and doorframe and created a new door opening, which the customer was over the moon with.

We fitted our Remo white gloss handless doors from our Second Nature range– which again, helps to open up the space due to their reflective surface. We also installed granite effect Duropal laminate worktops along with Grey Alpaca slate tile effect flooring. We also removed and renewed the PVC around the window frame and fitted a new sill. To finish off the overall look we added chrome sockets and Sensio warm glow LED under lights.

Not only did the Yardley’s kitchen look amazing but it was also filled with all of the appliances and mod cons to make working in their new kitchen a dream. The kitchen had a fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble drier, dishwasher, oven and microwave – all integrated of course. And not to forget Mrs Yarley’s ‘must-have’ item... a wine cooler!

Mr and Mrs Yardley now have the kitchen that they have been dreaming of since they moved in. The couple are absolutely delighted with the transformation and would have no trouble in recommending us… In fact, they did just that!
