This beautiful lacquered handle-less kitchen fitted in Clarkston for Mr & Mrs Kambo. It also included Silestone worktops and Kessebhommer internals.
This kitchen involved moving the services from what was the ‘original’ kitchen space out in to the conservatory. We removed all of the gyproc and fully insulated the walls to retain the heat, as this was normally quite a cold room, so much so that it went unused. In order to add the ‘wow factor’ to the new kitchen and really open up the space we also installed three new velux windows, which are a real focal point in the room. We then removed a wall between the original kitchen and dining room to create a huge living space for the whole family to enjoy their wonderful daughters’ piano skills. And finally plastered both rooms to ensure an exceptional finish before starting to fit the kitchen.
It’s fair to say that this kitchen was a real family affair. Right from the very beginning, the full family got involved in the planning. We sat down with the Kambo’s to discuss and plan their dream kitchen and together, as a family, they agreed and made every decision together – which was really lovely to see! Thankfully the kids and Mulberry managed to persuade Harjit and Raj against the red and black kitchen they had originally envisioned. Instead, we opted for a bright and airy, neutral colour scheme that really helps to open up the space and is truly timeless in terms of style.
