Two Tone Cabinets

Traditionally, cabinets have featured just one colour, but this year looks set to change all that. Two tone cabinets look absolutely fantastic in any kitchen and can add effortless style and interest throughout the room. Think contrasting colours such as browns and beiges, dark and light greys or go totally over the top with bright neons that complement each other.

For smaller spaces or areas that do not receive much light, an all-white kitchen can be the perfect solution. Clean, fresh and bright snow white cabinets, floors and walls can really open up a space and make it appear larger. White is also a great reflector, especially if you go for glossy cabinets and tiles. This can help light to bounce off surfaces and make the area appear brighter. Add interest and colour with plants, bright worktop appliances and other accessories.

Yes, you read that right! If you really want to create a minimalist space and keep worktop clutter to a minimum, appliance garages are the perfect solution. They are effectively a cupboard that stores your kettle, toaster, coffee machine and other small appliances, but when opened give you easy access to these items and allow you to use them in place.

Can’t find the tiles you need online? Why not create your own. A quick Google search for ‘personalised tiles’ will uncover a number of companies offering this service. You can choose to have a whole wall of personalised tiles created, or why not add one or two of your own designs to a wall of off-the-shelf tiles. How about recreating a child’s drawing in tile form, or choosing a pattern or design that is unique to you? Some tile makers are even able to transfer photographs to tile.
